I’m with Tombs

I am angry and depressed and powerless. I am so sick of the endless bickering and backbiting and lying and manoeuvring. It was stupid to have a referendum and the negotiations haven’t been conducted well by us and the EU has behaved in the most vindictive way and I just hate it all.

Meanwhile I try to avoid it as much as possible because unless and until there’s a second referendum I am completely powerless. A general election wouldn’t do any good because Corbyn’s only line seems to be “I would leave but negotiate a better deal” which is pie in the sky served by unicorns, so he’ll end up in the same place anyway.

What good does it do to listen to endless windbaggery or read endless articles for or against? What difference does it make? I can no longer listen to the news on the radio or watch it on the television because of the endless political blowhards farting in the hurricane.

I have found that my escapes are music and sport. Sport is a joyous fantasy world into which I can escape without thinking about these grim realities. And then I come on here and find the grim realities are invading the fantastic world too ...

Which is why I’m with Tombs. Politics filter please Ben.
