I just can't believe that.
I'm not arguing he should have waged a one-man Worthy out campaign. Just that when the team played badly, his job is to say so. And he manifestly didn't - all season up to now.
And yes there's only one club for him to cover. But on the other side, there's only one (serious) local paper for the club to use to get their message out there. As long as he was fair, I just don't think the club would have started snubbing the only paper interested in covering them.
