If he was some cub reporter, fine. But he's the most senior Archant footie writer, isn't he? Other cities, other papers, have independent journalists who look for scoops, and aren't worried about ruffling a few feathers every now and then.
Not Rick, though. Not until he knows the manager is on his way out and it's safe to say it.
Can't see why he deserves any respect as a football writer.
