Oh, and when I bought my property, in the buying process

The street I live on was in the process of having routine repairs. Because I wasn't a council tenant they ignored my property.

When the bill came round at the end of the year for maintenance. I got an invoice for £400. I contacted the council to ask why I had to pay this when they didn't do the work on my place even though they did on others.

They told me officially that just because they hadn't done 3/4's of the work, I have to pay it because they cut the grass and maintain things like the pipes outside (by decorating them). I responded "but the pipes are plastic and nobody's are painted"

I got an adjusted invoice for f**k all work apart from them with a discount of £50. Whooopie ! So I was charged £350 for being someone who can afford to buy his place rather than people who are on welfare who don't?

I've recently been given a prelimary bill of £300 for next year's and listed in it is work that needs doing which was missed last time, and they are going to bill me for that

So I'm going to pay twice for it?

Yay

I've never earnt more than £21k a year in my life, I save my money and afforded my way through
