You want to participate in the Single Market you have to abide by it's rules. As with pretty much anything else. This should be pretty obvious, but the UK seems to think it should be entitled to participate while playing by a different set of rules. This was never ever going to be on the table so why we have taken so long in pursuit of a deluded fantasy is quite beyond all reason...
