where cull means kill of course. My initial thoughts on the matter were that as he seems a lovely chap and a decent guy. Further research shows that he chose to learn about deer culling through a company called "Wings Hunting & Shooting". They organise hunts to eastern europe to kill bears amongst other activities . Now, I'm not a clever man by any stretch and haven't got half the intellect of Alistair Cook but for me that is not a company I would wish to be associated with let alone be content to promote.

I get the game management bit, but they do themselves no favours whatsoever. Even round here all the fields have signs "environmental scheme please keep out" which = to "we are raising grouse and pheasant for toffs to kill for £££ so keep dogs away". Regularly see piles of dead birds piled up that have been purely shot for sport. Alistair Cook has gone down in my estimation.
