In contrast, my Dad, who was the biggest Norwich supporter who never went to games, despite living in the fine city all his life, took me to my first game around September 1969, 1-0 against Swindon.

I enjoyed it so much he said we would go to the next home game.

The lure of pubs and bookmakers proved to hard to resist for him and the next time we went to a home game together was a 2-1 win against QPR in 1992, Sutton scored the winner.

Dad was a bit of a dick.
