Comparing keepers to outfield players isn't really fair though

Keepers generally don't need to be rotated and tend to suffer less injuries, so if you are a backup like Krul has been you generally will start very rarely (like McGovern here last season). Just because he hasn't started doesn't necessarily mean he's no good, just that he happened to be backing up someone better.
