....clearly not wisdom, an incredibly stupid decision on her part - you are spot on. However I would question did the mother genuinely think her actions in making all this public would actually help her daughter (presumably with some naive idea that 'naming and shaming' would help). I fear she probably did and that only compounds the problem as you have a generation of (some) parents with no idea of the impact of social media and how to use it properly. As someone else has said it is a nightmare at times.
