Being on the bench is hardly an endorsement (Lambert picked Theo for the bench on 7 occasions!)
If Matthews was not performing for Plymouth last season then why did he regain his place after taking parental leave?

We all have opinions, of course, but the contrast between how Gunn was treated and the levels of criticism aimed at Matthews is startling.
