I thought it was pretty clear.

Gambling damages people’s lives. Gambling advertising is pretty ubiquitous and advertising has a definite effect on people’s behaviour. Therefore our club is part of a larger picture, part of a society where people are being exploited and enticed into addiction. You might argue that as gambling exists and has done for some time that our contribution is fairly insignificant so why not fake the money? And maybe these people would have got into gambling anyway? But it’s not a major factor in the club’s income so not indispensable and in any case, why not make a moral stand for the greater good?

If you’re genuinely puzzled, that’s why I’m not that keen on it.
