The fat Cat is decent if you like real ales

but its a fair walk from the city centre. most of the pubs in the centre are chain types, I have been in the Garnet recently but even though it was ok I wouldn't recommend it unless you like drinking with hipsters. The Plough is ok, it used to be a right s**thole but has been done up well. there are a few pubs around the St Andrews area, The Doghouse, The Brew House, The St Andrews Tavern, The Norwich Tap house. these are all close to wear you're eating and close to Cuba revs.
