I agree he's expressed it in a poor/clumsy way but if you read the rest of the interview

he goes on to qualify what he said in a way that makes it look like he's been stupid/clumsy more than deliberately racist. He seems to be specifically referring to players from Africa rather than black players and also talking about cliques developing if you have too many players from Africa in the squad.

He will lose his job no doubt and there are plenty of theories that this was leaked deliberately by West Ham to make him the fall guy for their transfer window failings and the grief that Sullivan is getting. Its clumsy but its hardly KKK stuff.
