Not sure it would do much. Teenagers would just plow

over large groups of fellow students with their cars or go onto the internet and follow instructions for making a bomb and detonating at an assembly. Banning gun doesn't address the core problem of alieanation. fix that and you've accomplished something. And no I'm not a gun owner.
