No they won't. That's ridiculous. If humans are still around and the world is still in a good enough state to play professional sports then perhaps in 50 to 70 years officiating might be performed remotely via VR and other technological innovations perhaps, and once that would be accepted (the real barrier), then you could use AI to replace the remote officiating. You'd have to get over the psychological barrier of not having physically present officials first. Once that barrier was passed, the step to full AI is far easier.
But robots?! Not very safe to be playing a sport with a lump of metal floating around the field really.
