grey area innit (with a bit of statage)

that all makes sense so you'd say no we're not knocking on the door of financial woes by not going up this year.

HOWEVER

We would become a club who needs to sell each year to plug the gap as we dont have an owner who can do that for us, even in the short term.

So thats where were not as well off as other clubs who can and does put us in a very difficult position.

the article did go on about attendances and that always gets me. we may be 9th, but of the 9, we have the highest % full, 93%. I would argue that once you get to a certain point you will never 'max' your stadium as casual fans wont come and also you have no room to encourage more to come. So thats a meh point

club av att capacity % full
--------------- ------- --------- ---------
Leeds United 32314 37890 85.28%
Aston Villa 30480 42790 71.23%
Sunderland AFC 27714 49000 56.56%
Wolves 27566 31700 86.96%
Derby County 26742 33600 79.59%
Sheffield United 26647 32702 81.48%
Sheffield Wednesday 26295 39752 66.15%
Middlesbrough FC 25654 34742 73.84%
Norwich City 25566 27220 93.92%
