some of that I agree with

but "squandering" is a bit harsh.

1) You have 50 mill TV money to spend; it will get spent (no fans wanted to see us sitting on a profit)
2) Injuries / form easily wreck best-laid plans. There is not a manager alive that has never made a signing that did not work
3) Upgrading (Bradders instead of Crofts; Bassong instead of Barnett; Tettey instead of Korey) was how we all wanted to progress. And if we had got Alderweireld then we may have stayed up, or at least made an extra 5 mill profit
