Basically yes but....

a) you may have to accept being required to explain your ability to attend an interview elsewhere to your current employer's Occupational Health Unit if they have such a thing. That's not unreasonable if you are signed off work and
b) You need to be careful in how you explain this to your next employer if you get the job. You cannot be discriminated against if you have notified them of a condition (assuming of course they ask), but failing to disclose something is a different matter. Basically a lot depends on the nature of the anxiety and is it likely to re-occur.
