really tough question as so many genres and depends what you want
think about genre you enjoy,
retro, puzzle, action, etc then google best in that genre.
look for old ones like best of 2012 etc, might find some of them have gone free or cheaper now.
google play normally has a game for 10p each week. varys in quality. amazon app store another place to pick them up. humble bundle is my go to though
i just take a punt most of the time and there are some good some bad.
