It's totally logical for XXL

Lynn rather than Arsenal? He has always been intensely loyal to individual players, especially ones who have been kind and friendly to him. So he'd rather go watch Grant (who is a legend) at Lynn and maybe get a few minutes chat with him than watch Norwich in a game we're likely to lose.

Badge-gate? He's pissed off that the official gear doesn't come in his size (and is badly made), and he's pissed if that his solution to this (buy a plain pair by a different manufacturer which fit, and get the clubshop to add the official badge) is not acceptable to the club. To him, this looks like the club would rather he wore the gear of another club than make the minor effort to help him.

Smart trousers? He's got an invite to a board room but needs some appropriate gear to wear. He's struggling to find something that fits.

None of it is that bonkers ...
