Putting it out to the wrath

What do you do when your housemate has started a bin war?

Couple of days ago he filled the bin. No big deal, he'll get around to emptying it soon. Just to add, I've not added to the burgeoning pile of rubbish, just observed it at this point.

I'm out all day yesterday and left early for work this morning. The bin gets fuller.

Today my housemate has the day off work. The bin is still unemptied and now at the point where it might be confused for some one man game of bin jenga.

Would it offend him to end the game and put it out, should I continue to watch it a little longer? Should I try and engage with him rather than ask the internet and wondering why these f**king trivialities are consuming my waking thoughts?
