yes

mine has dramatically shortened recently but it was typically an hour, and has been as bad as 1hr 30 (all depending on what roadworks were happening where and departure time)

mostly dual carriageway/motorway driving

key (for me) is learning best times to leave in order to avoid bottlenecks etc. If you have any control over your hours, try finding a pattern that lets you skip the traffic. eg I now start at 10am, with a 30min commute. When I started at 9 it'd be a 1hr commute on the same route.

see if you can leverage the change to get a day of WFH (or an extra day), that helps

learn fuel efficient driving and avoid having to fill up at the end of a long day as the temptation to purge on chocolate and snacks can sometimes be too much...
