Joined up thinking
Last season we finished 8th in the league. The last time that happened we retained the squad, retained the manager, retained his coaches, strengthened the squad and... Won the league.
There was no sense, from a footballing point of view in dismantling the football side of the operation over last summer. It does seem to be that financial mismanagement has led to the decimation of the football operation. So... We sacked the football manager, sacked the football coaches, sacked the football scouts, sacked the bosses of the football academy and... Promoted the financial bean counter. A bean counter in whom the board had so little faith just a year ago that they paid the ludicrous "Ed" Balls £90,000 to do his job for him. Hurrah! Crawley here we come!
