I do support the longer term aim here but

I do also think that all we really needed was a couple of decent defenders and a better coach/manager.

I do expect us to be challenging this season. We have to cos if we can't challenge this season we are not going to be challenging for a very long time indeed. Just look at the calibre of players we are bringing in and imagine what it might be like once we are told Murphy, Madison, Nelson and Pritchard need to be sold next summer to balance the books.
