Never had a tumble dryer. Still on the fence about dishwashers

Strikes me that by the time you've rinsed it off, opened the dishwasher, carefully placed it, rearranged a couple of other things, closed the dishwasher, that you may as well have handwashed it. When Old Woman is away for a few days the dishwasher doesn't get used.
