Didn't go but watched it,
Felt the first 20mins or so Fulham came at us and things got a little frantic at the back. As the game went on we settled down a bit though and started to get more of a foothold in the game. That's not to say we didn't have chances in the early stages, we did and we seemed a bit like we got forward and didn't really know if we should shoot or pass in the final third.
The change in formation at half time changed the game for us and we looked a lot happier and more solid. Still lacked a bit of a cutting edge but much more solid at the back. Once Nelson came on we started to look for more threatening up top. As soon as he got on the pitch, he made a run down the flank like a man possessed. It really seemed to put the s**ts up the Fulham defence. From then on we looked more likely to score and only a matter of time before something happened and we found a way through.
The team really grew into the game, Farke made some important tactical changes and possibly against popular opinion I think he introduced Nelson at exactly the right time to harness his energy and enthusiasm.
A lot to be positive about anyway. Still some work to do at the back but I think as we get Klose back we will look pretty solid. Him and Zimmo together could be a very good partnership.
