I really dont believe electric cars are the answer at the moment ,too long to recharge at the moment even 30 mins is too long , not enough charge points , literally hundreds of cars use a busy service station in a hr imagine how big they would have to be at 30 mins a charge

then you have the problems of charging at home not everyone has a drive

I'm sure these problems will be overcome but not by 2040 perhaps by 2100
