Howson is much older than Ake and has never exactly set the Prem alight in any case. He's almost certainly going to a declining asset for whoever buys him.

Both the Murphs have achieved pretty much zero at Prem level at this stage of their careers, compared to Ake.

When it comes to valuing players it's pretty well established that Jim lives in fantasy land. But then of course Jim isn't remotely trying to come us with an accurate figure for what players are really worth, he's just trying to come up with a figure he can use to moan about the club with, so the more over-inflated he can make it the better
