I'm sure there's a few on here who have experienced similar financial and mental s**te

after splitting up with a partner. I had a female solicitor who made sure I did the right thing plus for my kids and ex but there were specific end dates on each element of the settlement. I was still kind of shafted though, but ultimately having a smaller house and income with someone you don't want to strangle was the right choice for me!
