the dishwasher and the tumbley drier and the washing mochine all have an alarm to tell me that they've completed their task and it bugs the hell out of me who needs to know precisely when the washing/washing up/drying is done? yet the telly just issues a silent warning then takes it upon itself to save the environment without a peep.

I'd also vote for a politician that could solve this absolute scourge of our society and ban all motorboats from the norfolk broads unless they were powered by electricity.

the two biggest threats this country faces in these uncertain times. although all times are uncertain really. it's the nature of times.
