I think the response, like at Westminster, was fantastic actually. You simply cannot
100% prevent this sort of attack. It's not much different than expecting security forces to prevent any physical attack happening anywhere in the country. And by that I mean in general, not only terrorist attacks.
You could argue that by increasing security you could reduce the chances of bomb and gun attacks. That would mean stuff like security checks at every shopping mall, bar, restaurant or shop in the country and constant military presence on the streets scanning every one of us. But isn't the tiny risk (for on the whole it is a tiny risk) worth avoiding that sort of permanent fear and lockdown which the British have so famously avoided over the years of various conflict?
Small things perhaps - I don't like the bag "search" procedure at Carrow road for example. Not sure it would be so difficult to proper bag searches and install scanners at entrances to stadia. Ok it would cost us that last pint before turning up at the last second but it doesn't have to be as slow as an airport as you will see if you go to certain football games on the continent (I've been through scanners at the arena or feyenoord before. Can't remember which. Was very efficient).
