see i never knew until i ripped up my landing floorboards that water pipes run through floor voids. farking obvious really but not being a builder/plumberer, and having spent 24 years living a wonderfully cossetted life (open to debate) in s**tty army quarters my DIY skills were fairly non-existent.
main thing is no jumbos were killed in the making of this DIY clusterf**k. he can go again.
