if he's still learning at that point, then surely a crack at league 2 would be precisely the ideal place to turn it round and get back to basics? that's where we went wrong with lambert, ok we did alright out of him but his inexperience from not having learnt properly at the lower echelons was cruelly exposed at villa and blackburn. we truly are the grim reaper of managers, not one has ever left us and gone on the be successful, ditto players. not one. apart from steve morison obvs.

best SAN sticks around if he wants a long career at this game as it's a fact that bigger clubs aren't as forgiving as us. ☠️
