I think that's where we differ

I think his inability to influence things tactically is primarily driven by a lack of the right variety of personnel. Which is a result of poor recruitment.

With good recruitment i think his other weaknesses could be put down to inexperience and he could learn and improve. So I don't disagree that he doesn't get the best out of players, but the biggest issue for me has been poor recruitment. For me that's the issue that is insurmountable and a very good reason not to let him revamp the squad.
