What would you call it then?
There were plenty of other examples around the same time (I would also cite taking Redmond off at Upton Park when he was destroying West Ham just prior to that game but that was perhaps excusable) and have been many since but I think that was the moment the mask slipped for many because it was such utterly appalling judgment. And that's not with hindsight, several of us said it as he did it. So I don't think it's correct to say that nobody could have predicted it would not work. We were all over them at the time he did it and were looking good to get at least an equaliser.
He could have still proven it was a blip over the games we've had since but he has failed to do so.

- I'd say it was certainly more of a turning point in that he lost some confidence... (NCFC) - I Am Hoot, Nov 29, 08:48:13
- I would agree with that as well. His confidence went but (NCFC) - Jim, Nov 29, 09:43:19
