But whether we think the squad is drastically underperforming, or just underperforming and poorly put together for the resources invested, it's still Alex Neil's responsibility.

For the record I think Newcastle and Villa have better squads than us. I think we have more very good players than every other squad in the league, but we lack balance to the extent that I'm not sure you could say our squad is better than say Brighton. But that's certainly not obvious.
