I've got a spare 10 days or so, so I don't really want to be wasting my time in a place populated by gringos with very little to do.
it seems more logical to go there on a shorter trip from Lima maybe.

Ever been to Ayacucho (Huancavelic/Huancayo)? I'll probably end up going there instead. World's second highest railway is there
