No. Not him, not Colin either.
MM has worked wonders at scum with what he's had to work with but he's very one-dimensional and old-fashioned in his thinking.
Colin is just a c**t, and I don't buy "but he'd be our c**t". Nope, he'd still just be a c**t.
We also need to avoid the perennial drain-circlers and please God not Dirty Harry or Shoutwords.
I think Lambo had what Lambo had at the time and to have him back might not be for the best. Up to his departure he was looking a little found-out tactically (much as AN is now) - of course he could have developed in the meantime, but the Villa experience will have scarred him a bit. On balance, I'm with the never-go-backers.
If we're going for experience, I'd love Woy or Fat Sam. It may well be that neither would come, but you don't know if you don't ask, and we should be putting feelers out - Hodgson knows our owners which could work for us (or against us!) there, and if I were Fat Sam I'd want to get back on the horse sooner rather than later, and we've got to be an attractive proposition: get the best squad in the champs promoted, stay up, reputation restored.
If we're going for up-and-coming, Rowett is doing well with what little he has at Brum and I think he'd do a great job here.
