Yep...
I walked London to Cambridge this summer just gone. That was 100km and I got it finished in just under 21 hours.
Pix also did a stupidly long walk on the north Norfolk coast so he might be along soon too.
My training firstly consisted of investing in decent shoes and socks. You have to protect your feet at all costs and get them used to the strains. Get a decent backpack and a water bladder too so you're not always looking for water stops.
You need to start building on what seems to be a decent foundation there. Try going for a 20k walk, and increase it by 5k every other weekend. In my training I started off by just ambling up or down the Bure valley railway line or Marriots Way. Keep it regular so you get used to the strain, and don't worry too much about walking speed to start with.
My final training walk was about 60k, I left my front door in NR5 and walked to Sherringham. If you're in the Norwich area we're spoiled with long distance paths to train on, there's a website called Norfolk interactive trails that you can map these things out on.
Slow and steady wins the race, your body will let you know when you can go faster. And you've got plenty of time to train up for it! Happy to answer anything else about it too...
