But mainly because they believe he stands apart, advocating a more virtuous, socially responsible version of politics which is ultimately designed to benefit the many not the few. That's pretty intoxicating.

The fact that he has a history of morally suspect associations and has yet to land a glove on the Tories, allied to his unwillingness to address anti-semitism and misogyny in the party and his abysmal performance during the brexit debate appear, however, to be of no concern to his adoring followers.

A 'thoroughly decent man' was what I heard someone saying on the news just now.
