Found It Interesting...

...that when Derby sacked Clement last season, their owner said it was all, for them,about the long term plan and setting up of the club for sustained success rather than promotion at all costs.

He wanted the club to be ready and for everything to be in place first, something, it seems, Clement didn't subscribe to.

If you can afford that approach=fine. But can we? But then can you afford not to take that longer term view in football today?

Or is giving it everything in order to have a go and at least benefit from the cash for one season before starting again an acceptable approach?
