There is, however, objectification and there's objectification. Noting that someone is attractive is not significantly objectifying imo. Contributing to an attitude of sexism, yes I suppose so, but in the same way that me pissing in the ocean is undeniably contributing to rising sea levels. There are more worthwhile hills to die on than this one.

However any criticism which does not consider the context of that which is being criticised is basically valueless. And the context here is Norway and me's decade-plus relationship of banter (in the correct sense). It is easy, sometimes, to forget that other people are witness to it. I think you've, further down there vvv, tried to clumsily make the point that this kind of thing is more acceptable in private. I don't think that's right, but whatever, I have significant cba to debate that point.

One final thought: a lesson in identity politics and social acceptability from someone who unironically uses the term 'right-on'? I think not.
