good effort
.... sounds like a carbon copy of my experience - the best part of 90 minutes (partly walking, partly standing) to cover 2 miles but everyone good humoured and cracking jokes keeping things in perspective knowing that some poor sod(s) was badly injured. I agree the roadside support was great and overall its very well organised - and unique in having closed roads for 100 miles, Well done on the fundraising - probably double what I'll manage but I'm glad I was using the event to raise some money. And get over it Jim - dig deep for the lads and lasses who did it!
