Ride London - Rob Rosario and Jumbo
Thanks for the interest guys.
It went well thanks. The horrific accidents caused severe delays down the field and we were stopped for around 90 minutes at Pyford and at various points over the next 10 miles where the compressed field resulted in a few more accidents and bottles necks. Still at least we were able to cross the finish line, others were less fortunate.
Personally i felt s**t for the first 40 miles, things picked up around the climbs which were no where near as severe as expected and i finished well. The support on route helped alot particularly in the Kingston area where the locals had truly embraced the event and the charity cheerleaders were out in force, i event managed to hold it together when i passed my 4 year old and 4 week out outside the parliament building!
Only downside was the lack of beerage in Green Park, i had to hobble over to the M&S where the shelves were already empty so a couple of small bottles of Sauvignon blanc had to do.
More importantly i managed to raise over £800 quid for Tommys, a fantastic charity - User Posted Link
And lets be honest if you are pissing Jim off you must be doing something right.
