26 operations ensued at one point amputation was considered. He did return briefly to play for Highgate Utd in 2008. He's now the football Community Manager at Coventry City.
He made his professional debut in an FA Cup match against Norwich City on 13 January 1993, and his Premier League debut three days later against the same side.
