he's got the wrong end of the stick there though

it's not about "evil" or "propaganda", it's simply that employees of any organisation are going to toe the company line, because its in their best interests. I have no problem with that, my problem is simply that such stuff just isn't remotely interesting or revealing to read. The fact that the reason for this is prefectly acceptable and understandable rather than part of an evil "cover-up" type conspiracy makes no difference to me. It's just that no employee of any organisation (not just a football club) is going to be candid about that organisation while they are employees. And that article emphasises it. Ashton (of course) said all the right things - backing the manager etc - but when the chance came he couldn't wait to get away. All his comments didn't really mean anything at all (except that NCFC paid his wages).
