I can't think of anything that would contradict it. The "official" Archant sports reporters (like Waghorn) never write anything remotely interesting or that doesn't reek of being club-sanctioned. The unofficial columnists on the other hand often make interesting reading.

And the local press still print stories concocted entirely of internet rumours anyway when its a quiet day news-wise.
