couple of answers
- you say builders have accepted liability - is it their insurers who have accepted it? You have it in writing? You shouldnt need to take it to court. -- we have emails accepting liability from the builders - nothing direct with insurers.
I presume you dont own the flat. If not, make sure landlord aware. -- flat was rented. Landlord was informed via agency.
have they sent an adjuster round to inspect damage? -- no
Take photos yourself of damage. Dont throw away damaged items but keep them as proof. Find original receipts if possible. -- builders inspected, not insurers. Proof of damage (pictures) have been sent.
