By the time you drink it

It's about the same temperature as if you'd taken gin at room temperature and added ice. Only without the dilution you'd get from ice melting later on. I was sceptical until I tried it now I do it routinely. Keep your tonic/elderflower/whatever in the fridge, obvs, and drink your gin ice free.
