OG, yesterday you said you can't mix anything with whiskey...
On the most part I agree with you, however I found one exception that to this day is probably one of, if not the greatest alcoholic drink I have ever tasted. I found it on a cruise that the wife and I went on for our honeymoon.
They have this cocktail bar on board the ship (Celebrity Solstice) which specialises in unique cocktails and drinks that have been developed by some dude called Junior Merino. Apparently he's one of the world's top mixologists (whatever that is).
Anyway, the wife and I spent a lot of time working through the menu of drinks and I came across one called the 'Kentucky Derby'. A whiskey based drink mixed with some other stuff. This thing was unreal. Very alcoholic but tasted amazing. Here's what's in it:
Woodford Reserve Bourbon
St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
Domaine de Canton Liqueur
Elderflower and Ginger Essence
Roasted Apple and Toasted Spice Bitters
Lavender Yuzu Bitters
Citrus Enhancer
Reading it's contents makes you think it might look like it might be a drink of maximum poncery but it wasn't. It was one of the few drinks that didn't look like a rainforest. My it was good though.
